These are the questions owners ask most often before starting a fix, answered as plainly as we can. If yours isn't here, send it by call, text or email and you'll get a direct answer from a senior partner.
Frequently asked questions
What does an engagement cost?
We don't publish prices because scope varies so much. After a complimentary, confidential consultation with a senior partner, you get a written proposal with the scope, fee and terms. Canadian clients add 5% GST.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
Each engagement has a defined scope and length rather than an open-ended monthly commitment. The terms, including how it ends, are written into the proposal before you agree.
How long does a fix take?
A single fix, such as missed-call recovery, usually runs four to eight weeks including the baseline. A Revenue Acceleration sprint runs 90 days. Search-related changes can take longer to show their full effect.
We hired an agency before and got nothing. Why would this be different?
We start by measuring a specific number and end by comparing against it, in writing. If a fix doesn't move the number, you'll see that plainly. You are judging us on your own records, not on a dashboard we control.
Who owns the accounts and records?
Your business. Phone settings, Google profiles, analytics and lead records are set up in accounts registered to you, and the routines and notes are handed over at the end. Ownership terms are also confirmed in your proposal.
What results can you promise?
We don't promise rankings, lead numbers or revenue. We promise a baseline, a written diagnosis, the agreed fix and an honest comparison afterwards.
How do you report progress?
A short written update against the baseline number at agreed points, usually weekly during a fix. It's one page, in plain language, with the numbers that matter for your problem.
Are your results from businesses like ours?
Our published, measured case studies are results from our HVAC work, and we label them that way. We explain on the results page which parts of the method transfer to other trades and local businesses.
Do you install or repair anything?
No. We are business consultants. We never do trade work for your customers; we work on how enquiries reach you and how you handle them.
Do you meet in person?
Yes. Coquitlam owners can consult with us in person or online by video call, as well as by phone, text and email, while the work happens in your systems and records.
Can you use AI to answer our calls?
Sometimes automation helps, for example a fast text reply or sorting enquiries. Under SAZ.ca's AI consulting engagement we look at what's worth automating and how to keep a person responsible. We usually fix the routine before automating it.
Do we need to buy new software?
Usually not. Most fixes work inside the phone system, job software and Google accounts you already have. If a tool truly can't do the job, we explain why before suggesting anything else.
Do you give legal or privacy advice?
No. Where rules such as Canada's anti-spam law or BC's private-sector privacy law are relevant, we link to the official source and recommend you confirm with your own adviser.
Cost and commitment
The short answer: no published prices, a written proposal, and terms you see before you agree. We scope each engagement to the problem, because a narrow missed-call fix and a 90-day sprint across several leaks are very different pieces of work.
The first conversation is a complimentary, confidential consultation with a senior partner. If you decide to go ahead, the proposal states the problem, the baseline number, what each side will do, the timeline, the fee plus 5% GST for Canadian clients, and how the engagement ends. The engagements page explains the three SAZ.ca engagement types in more detail.
Timing and what to expect
Most single fixes take four to eight weeks, and the first one or two weeks are measurement. That baseline period feels slow to some owners, but it is what lets you judge the result honestly afterwards.
Expect to spend a little time early on: an hour or so to export call logs or quote dates, and short check-ins while the fix is set up. After that, the routine should take less of your time than the problem did. Each service page gives a week-by-week timeline.
If you've been burned before
Many owners come to us after paying for marketing that produced reports but not customers. That experience is a good reason to insist on three things from anyone you hire, including us:
- A specific number to be measured, agreed before work starts.
- Measurement from your own records, not only from a vendor's dashboard.
- A written comparison at the end, including when the result is disappointing.
Our results page explains how that discipline shows up in the outcomes from our HVAC work.
What we need from you
A fix works only if the people who answer phones and send quotes are part of it. In practice we ask for three things: access to the records that hold the baseline, such as your phone portal and sent quotes; one named person on your side who owns the new routine; and a short weekly check-in while the fix is being set up.
We don't need a large budget for tools, a new website or a rebrand. Most of the fixes on this site are changes to routine, settings and wording, and they work inside what you already have. Where a tool is truly missing, we explain the options and the trade-offs, and you decide.
How we decide what to fix first
We rank the leaks by how much work each one costs you per week, using your own numbers. A business losing six new callers a week usually starts with missed-call recovery, even if its search presence is also weak, because those callers already wanted to hire it. A business that answers every call but takes five days to quote starts with quotes.
Sometimes two problems are linked, and fixing them together is cheaper. That is when a 90-day Revenue Acceleration sprint makes sense instead of a single fix.
Ownership and handover
Everything we set up is yours. Accounts are registered to your business, records live in your tools, and at the end you receive notes explaining each routine: who does what, when, and how to check it is still working.
If you later want someone to run campaigns month after month, that is a separate decision. We'll tell you honestly whether you need it, and the about page explains where this practice sits in the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group. To start, see the contact page.
